Smith, Ark. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 11, at Glory Bound with the Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial was held in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Born Sept. 5, 1941, to Stephen Sanders and Ethyl Shonkwiler, in Atwood, Ill, he served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962, and enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Sanders; and two brothers, Larry and James Sanders. Survivors in addition to his wife, Janice, of Hartfield, Ark., include, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gregory and Julie Sanders, and James Sanders all of Marlow; a daughter, Misty Sanders of Houston, Texas; and eight grandchildren. Other survivors include two step-daughters, Nena Sewell of Houston, Texas, and Schelle Brady of Lake Charles; and three sisters-in-law, Marie Sanders, Jean Sanders and Nona Sanders.
