Audie Shartle of Duncan, born Feb. 11 1905 in Parks, Oklahoma Indian 
Territory to John and Elise Tildwell Gilmore, died March 28 1999 in 
Duncan Care Center. 

She married Lawrence Shartle on Feb. 17 1926 in Dixie. She was a 
member of St. Pauls Methodist Church. 

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Shartle of 
Bartlesville, two nephews, John Gilmore and Don Gilmore, both of 
Duncan, two nieces, Karen Johnson of Omaha Neb. and Juhree McClain 
of Purcell, a granddaughter, Elaine of Bartlesville, and several 
great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 1 1969, a son 
Lawrence Jr., a brother, Altus Gilmore on June 1965 and a sister 
Ellen Williamson in 1967. Funeral services was in the St. Pauls 
United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating and 
Rev. Carroll Milner assisting. 

Burial was in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Carter-
Smart Funeral Home in Duncan.
