GRANBURY, Texas - Curtis M. Shrum, 79, of Lubbock, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, in Lubbock. Service was to be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Acton Baptist Church in Granbury. Burial was to be in Acton Cemetery under the direction of Martin's Funeral Home of Granbury. Mr. Shrum was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Marlow and was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946. He married Gerry Smith in 1946 in Duncan. He worked for the Cadillac dealership in Duncan through 1957, then for the Cadillac Division of General Motors from 1957 until retirement in 1984. Mr. Shrum moved to Pecan Plantation in Granbury, Texas, in 1985, where he lived for 16 years. He was a member of Acton Baptist Church for 16 years. In March of 2002, he moved to Lubbock, where he was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Lubbock; a son, Don Shrum of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Jan Pendergraft of Lamesa, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
