TIPPS, CARL R. 10 October 1913 - 21 March 1999 CARL RUSSELL TIPPS, 85, of Modesto, died Sunday, March 21st, 1999, at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital. Mr. Tipps was a native of Loco, Oklahoma. He lived in Modesto two years and previously lived in Riverbank 37 years. He was a boilerman for Carnation Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his step-daughter, Lilly Geib of Riverbank; sisters, Hazel Cornel of San Jose and Christine Black of Turlock; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Friday, March 26th, 1999.
