Jimmie was a member of the Operation Engineers Local #12 for over 30 years. Jimmie also served in the Army, ranking as Corporal. Jimmie loved hunting, fishing, horse races, stockcar races, and most of all his grandchildren. Jimmie is preceded in death by his loving wife, Antonia. They were married for 22 years. Also his parents, Marion and Reba Taylor of Texas. Jimmie is survived by daughters: Anita Maria Mays of Doniphan, MO, Diana Canez Taylor of Bakersfield, CA; sons: Robert Franz Denk, David Lee Killabrew, James William Taylor, all of Bakersfield, CA; sisters: Thelma Buerger of Corpus Christi, TX, Pauline Bailey of Goliad, TX; brother: R.G. Taylor of Vancouver, WA; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers include: David Killabrew, Fred Revees, Gill Jacobson, Bill Taylor, Dan Taylor, Jim Buerger. He was a good friend, a good father and he will be missed by all those who knew him. He lived his life the best way he knew how. He was a fine example of what it meant to be a responsible person. And we are all waiting for the day when we can all be together again. Well never forget you. Chapel services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel.
