All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 26 Nov 2002 Faye Lorene Morris Brown Taylor MARLOW — Faye Lorene Morris Brown Taylor, 84, of Duncan died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in Duncan Regional Hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marlow, with the Rev. Ron Howard and the Rev. Leon Kimes officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Marlow. Mrs. Taylor was born May 25, 1918, in Grady County, to George Edgar and Edna Mae Lewis Morris. She married Marvin "Mack" Andrew Brown on Dec. 19, 1937, in Grady. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29. 1974. She married Fred Ray Taylor on June 22, 1976, in Marlow. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1999. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Marlow. She lived in Duncan all of her life. She liked to crochet and write poetry. She was a musician and enjoyed music, mostly the harmonica, mandolin, fiddle and the guitar. She liked to cook fried pies, brown beans and hot rolls. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia "Ginger" and Jerry Wright of Duncan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenny and Kay Brown of Lone Grove, Ronnie and Wanda Brown of Duncan and Ricky Brown of Marlow; two sisters, Lavada Ross of Hermiston, Ore., and Fern Jones of Oklahoma City; two stepdaughters, Kathleen Simmons and her husband, Bob, of Killeen, Texas, and Elizabeth Ford of Duncan; three stepsons, Fred Ray Taylor Jr. of Wainesville, Mo., Ervin Taylor of Belton, Texas, and Pinky Taylor of Stratford; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Meismer in January of 1996; a brother, Kenneth Morris; two sisters, Ocie and Margaret; her stepmother, Osa Pearl Hopkins Morris; and two stepsons, Burt and Charles Taylor.
