He married Jessie Fern Akers on April 15 1954 in Wichita Falls TX. He worked for the City of Duncan and for Don Dennard's Texaco until his retirement in June 1998. Survivors include his wife of the home, two sons and daughters-in- law, Greg and Becky Tinney of Duncan and Rodney and Tammy Tinney of Marlow, Two daughters and one son-in-law, Brenda Ford and Sharon and Frankie Hawkins, all of Duncan, A brother and sister-in-law James and Sue Tinney of Duncan, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pat Polk, Pearl and Junior Hines, all of Duncan and Alice and Jerry Gallop of Moore, and a grandson and five granddaughters. Funeral services were in the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Metheny officiating.
