All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Letitia Cemetery--Letitia OK Lawton Consitituion 25 May 2003 Rebecca Tolecia 'Becky' Toombs WALTERS - Funeral for Rebecca Tolecia "Becky" Toombs, 91, Walters, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Coast officiating. Mrs. Toombs died Thursday, May 22, 2003, in Lawton. Burial will be in Letitia Cemetery. She was born Nov. 20, 1911, in Nellie to Daniel Wilford and Nancy Bride Gildon Peterson. She grew up in Comanche and Stephens counties and Walters. She married Odice Toombs on Oct. 3, 1936, in Walters. He died in February, 1995. She worked as a personal housekeeper and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Thurman and Cerita Toombs, Geronimo; five grandsons and their wives: Danny and Jancy Toombs and Tim and Nicki Toombs, all of Lawton; Kenny and LaFonda Toombs, Donald and Connie Toombs and Jimmy and Jamie Toombs, all of Geronimo; 11 great- grandchildren: Tammy Toombs, Jacey Toombs, Jeremy C. Toombs, Pamela Toombs, Chelsea Toombs, Anthony Toombs, Ashley Toombs, Jerry Toombs, Michael Toombs, Elizabeth Toombs and Jeremy D. Toombs; a brother and sister-in-law: Wilford and Carolyn Peterson, Houston, Texas; a sister, Mabel Standley, Midland, Texas; many nieces, nephews and special friends.
