All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Marlow Review 28 Jul 2005 Joseph Lee "Joe" Tumelson, 74, went to be with is Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2005, in Duncan. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, at the City Heights Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Green officiating. Burial was held in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Born June 11, 1931, to George and Robbie (Pitts) Tumelson, in Clarksville, Ark., he was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, a lifetime member of VFW, an avid pool player, fisherman, and card player. On Dec. 14, 1978, he married Janice Dockal, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Brown, his parents; and two brothers, George Tumelson and Willie Tumelson. Survivors in addition to his wife, Janice of the home include, a daughter, Twila Massie of Foster; two step daughters, Tana Duke of Bowling Green, Ky., and Patty Brown of Marlow; nine grandchildren; and great- grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Orval and Helen Tumelson of Chickasha, and Bobby Dean and Vivian Tumelson of Blanchard. Pallbearers were Earl Wright, Alvin Hack, Gerald Crosby, Ed Fliner, Rich Lang, C.O. Norris, and members of City Heights Baptist Church.
