Longtime Duncan resident Howard Ray Thurman 81 died Sat Nov 13, 1993 
in a Stephens Co Hospital.

Services will be 2PM Monday in Clinton. Burial will be in Arapaho 
Cemetery.

Mr Thurman was born Sep 23, 1912 in Arapaho and attended school 
there. He also farmed in the Arapaho area until retirement in 1976. 
He moved to Sterling, then to Duncan. He was a former member of the 
Arapaho School Board. He was a member Western Heights Baptist Church 
in Duncan. He married Enna Lorene Bowman, may 7, 1933 in Cordell.

Survivors include his wife of Duncan, 2 daughters Raylene of 
Sterling, & Judy Nicholas of Stillwater, a brother Hugh Thurman of 
Pueblo, Colorado: five grandchildren & five great grand-children.

Note: Enna Lorene died Nov 4,2002, in Lawton nursing home.

Also buried in Arapaho Cemetery.
