Vandiver, Dale Dale Vandiver was born in Marlow, Okla., on Jan. 25, 1931. He went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, after a long illness, with his wife, Joyce, at his side. Dale was the youngest of ten siblings. He owned and operated the Clovis Mattress Company in Clovis, N.M. for 20 years and he was a longtime member of the Clovis Elks Lodge. Dale and Joyce then moved to Albuquerque in 1991, where they owned and operated A-1 Self Storage. Dale was a loving husband, father and brother and he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce Vandiver, of the home in Albuquerque; five children, Vickie Kennedy, of the home, Jolene Perkens and husband, Mike, of Oklahoma, Rick Vandiver and wife, Lou Ann of Texas, Peggy Radcliff and husband, LeRoy, of Arizona, Janet Tuttle and husband, Jeff, of Maine; four sisters, Bevie Burnett, of Kansas, Letha Calhoun, of California, Mona Tuftee of California, Polly Mott and husband, Kenny, of Arizona; and a nephew, Ken Vandiver, who was raised as a brother with Dale, in Clovis; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Dale will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Honoring Dale's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
