Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bobby Howard officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan. Mr. Vorse was born July 20, 1942, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Alden F. and Kathryn A. Steele Vorse. He married Glenda Hobbs on Dec. 24, 1961, in Scottsbluff. He retired from Kansas-Nebraska Energy in 1997, in Kansas, and moved to Duncan where he was currently employed with First Bank and Trust, Inc. He was a member of Heritage Oaks Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Glenda, of the home; a son, Trent Morgan Vorse of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Tracy Michele Woodruff of Westmoreland, Kan.; nine brothers and sisters, George A. Vorse of Canton, Ohio, John W. Vorse of Scottsbluff, Michael D. Vorse of New Plymouth, Idaho, Frances J. Hays of Scottsbluff, Helen Kay Hubbard of Oklahoma City, Patty J. Hammel of Colorado Springs, Colo., Pamela J. Favour of Knoxville, Tenn., Aldena Rae Hammel of Trinidad, Colo., and Kathryn A. Snyder of Broken Bow, Neb.; his grandmother, Mable J. Vorse White of Scottsbluff; and seven grandchildren, Todd Woodruff, Traylee Woodruff, Brandon Woodruff, Kathryn Woodruff, Morgan Vorse, Antonio Vorse and Kevin Vorse. Bearers will be George Vorse, John Vorse, Russell Hubbard, Jim Powers, Nathan Hobbs and Jerry Soesbee. Honorary bearers are Steve Rahill, Mike Ward, Roland Goldsmith, Ron Absher, Olen Jackson and Chuck Kirk.
