Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Friendship Baptist Church with Paul Channell officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. Ms. Watkins was born December 13, 1934, in Shannon, Texas, to Hester Lair and Willie Mae Wallace Roper. She was a graduate of Henrietta High School in Henrietta, Texas. She received her L.P.N. certificate from Red River Area Vo-Tech and her R.N. degree from Rose State College. She had been a Marlow resident for 16 years. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands; Jody and Loyd Epperson of Marlow, and Lori and Mike Garcia of Wichita, Kan.; two sons and their wives, Bradley and Connie Healer and Neil and Donita Healer all of Duncan; a brother and his wife; Stanley and Mary Roper of Midland, Texas; six grandchildren, Aaron Keith Epperson and wife, Sandy, of Comanche, Adam Epperson of Marlow, Tyra Healer, Jonathan Healer and wife, Jennifer, and Mark Cowan and wife, Chantelle, all of Duncan, and Tina Sporn and husband, Jerrie, of Oklahoma City; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Matthew Reyna and Christian; several nieces and nephews; longtime family friend, Ann Bradshaw of Duncan; and numerous other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Roper.
