All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 22 May 2002 Ragnhild Birkeland Wolff HETTINGER, N.D. — Ragnhild Birkeland Wolff, 83, of Hettinger, N.D., died Friday, May 10, 2002, in Hettinger. Service was May 14 in the Hettinger Lutheran Church with Pastor Jerry Lee officiating. Burial was in Haynes Cemetery in Haynes, N.D. Mrs. Wolff was born June 5, 1918, in Bergen, Norway, to Karen Augusta and Johannes Birkeland. She married Arthur Wolff on Nov. 3, 1938, in Hettinger. Mrs. Wolff was a member and often an officer of Naomi Circle as well as Women of the Church (ALCA and then ELCA). She belonged to Get-Together Homemakers Club for most of her life. As a founding member of the Community Clothes Closet, she spent many hours volunteering in the community. She also enjoyed the friendship of many women in the community at the monthly Birthday Club. Survivors include eight children , Brian Wolff of Duncan, Evelyn Buchfink and her husband, Rod, of Bismark, N.D., Lynn Wolff and his wife, Gail, of Fargo, N.D., Neil Wolff and his wife, Debbie, Orville Wolff and his wife, Anne, and Keith Wolff and his wife, Tammy, all of Hettinger, Beatta Baker and her husband, Phil, of Eufaula and Leann Colbeth and her husband, Bill, of Flower Mound, Texas; a brother, John Birkeland of Salt Lake City, Utah; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her in-laws Jake and Joyce Wolff of Seattle, Wash.; six nephews; five nieces; and many friends and neighbors.
