"Preach" Wilson, born Dec. 5 1922 in Bokoshe OK to William T. and Myrtle Graham Wilson, died Feb. 18 1999 at his home in Velma. Funeral services were conducted at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Reb. James Wilson officiating. He married Dorothy A. Deaver Dec. 1 1942 in Yuma AZ. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the 2nd World War. He was a member of the Marine Band. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Exeter Ca. Survivors include his wife of the home, daughter Alice and Warren Davenport of Duncan, son, Steve Wilson of Velma, four grandchildren, Melissa Wittenberg of Woodward, Brad Davenport of Nashville Tenn., Andrea Davenport of Duncan, and Emily Wilson of Davis, two great- grandchildren, Breona Martin and Samara Whittenburg, brothers, Jack Wilson, Rev. James E. Wilson both of Pacola, Oather Wilson of Charleston Ark., and Troy Wilson of Crescent City CA., sisters Ethel Caldwell of Cedarville Ark. Cecil Inge of Barling Ark. Dola Whorton of Ordway CO, and Faye Tidwell of Ft. Smith Ark.. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rufua, Jess, and Albert Wilson and sisters Eithel Dillard and May Spencer.
