He married Pearl Eubanks Smith in Shreveport LA. on March 28, 1947. He married second Plawie Lane Spoonemore in Velma OK on Nov. 29, 1985. He graduated from Port Huron High School in Michigan, received a BS from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg MO and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War ll. He taught school in Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. He was a member of the Alma Baptist Church in Alma OK. Survivors include his wife of the home, two daughters and sons-in- law, Ann Smith and Dale Coody of Lawton, Rosemary and Charles Greener of Butler, MO, ; a step-daughter and her husband, Glenda and Rosser McDonald of Ft. Worth TX, a step-son and his wife, Gary and Margaret Ann Lane of Miami Fl. ; a brother, Gordon Morris Walker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife on Nov. 30, 19984, his parents, a brother Albert John Walker and a step-sister, Florence Brennan. Funeral services were held at Central High Baptist Church, Marlow with the Rev. Roger Sims officiating. Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow. --------------------------------------------------------------------
