"Bill" Williams Unknown Newspaper. Found in mother's scrapbook. W. R. "Bill" Williams, 92, 101 N.C, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1992, in a local nursing home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tracy L. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born Sept. 23, 1900, in Thackerville, I.T., to George and Etter (Etta) Williams. He grew up and lived most of his life in Oklahoma. He worked for 11 years for Standard Oil Co. in South America, and operated a farm in Grady County before moving to Duncan in 1950. He owned and operated Williams Laundry in Duncan until retirement. Mr. Williams was a member of First Christian Church. On Sept. 25, 1924, he married Belle Cline in Walters. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Linda Williams of Dallas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Bearers will be Lloyd Fincher, Gayle O'Dell, Eddie Eubanks, Carl Slifer, James Taft and Billy Wharton.
