"Pete" Williams Sr., 69, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, April 29, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Cattau of the church officiating. Graveside services will be in Llano Cemetery with Phil Mercado, pastor of Trinity Fellowship, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Williams was born in Marlow, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1963. He served with the Army as a field medic during the Korean War. He was a supervisor for Hill-Lines, which later became ICX, for 35 years. He retired in 1985. He married Mary "Mickey" Lane in 1953 at Bloomington, Calif. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melody Gallegos of Amarillo and Cindy Fulfer of Monahans; a son, John Williams of Amarillo; a sister, Myrtle Epperson of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, D.C. Williams of Bakersfield; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family requests memorials be to the Trinity Lutheran Church building fund.
