She passed from this life Jan. 26, 2005. After graduating from Brookesmith High School and Brownwood College of Business, she worked for a Brownwood lawyer for a time, then moved to Exeter, Calif. There she lived with her brother, Leon, and got a job packing oranges. She later worked at a defense plant in San Diego during World War II. In Exeter, she started dating Raymond Waller, the son of the preacher at the Church of Christ. After Raymond joined the Army in December 1941, they corresponded regularly and were married in Marlow, Okla., by Raymond's father, Alfred, in 1943. Their first child, Lloyd Allen, was born in August 1944. When Raymond got out of the Army, they owned a small grocery store in Abilene for a short time. In November 1946, Lloyd Allen developed complications from appendicitis and died just 10 days before Aline gave birth to their second child, Lynn. Soon the family moved to Fort Worth where Peggy was born in 1949 and Tim in 1955. In 1958 Raymond died of a heart attack. At age 36, Aline was a widow with three children. She supported the family by working for World Book Encyclopedia and later as a church secretary. But in 1967 she began a new career at the Haltom City Public Library. Always a lover of good books, she found this job most rewarding. She stayed at the library until 1989, retiring after 22 years of service. For the past 38 years she was a committed member of Richland Hills Church of Christ, serving as a library volunteer, Sunday school teacher and a founding member of a quilting group. This group has make quilts to aid the needy for 19 years. She served the Lord faithfully all her life and blessed many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; son, Lloyd Allen; brothers, Leon and Aubrey Hurst; and sister, Alma Medley.
