Wininger of Duncan, born Dec. 26, 1926 in Duncan to Brice and Myrtle Sosebee Wininger, died Dec. 25 1999 in his home at the age of 72. He married Betty Robinson on Nov. 8, 1944 in North Park CA. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War ll and was present at the invasion of Iwo Jima. He graduated from Duncan High School. He was a member of the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ and American Legion. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law Larry and Becky Wininger of Durant, a daughter Sharon Barton of Duncan, two grandchildren Jeremy and James Wininger, both of Durant, and a special first cousin, Donna Chambers of Duncan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Louise Peters. Services were in the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ with Jon A. Hosch and Gene Pool officiating. Burial was in the rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of Bailes-Polk Funeral Home in Duncan. --------------------------------------------------------------------
