Verol H. Blades

HOOKER, Okla. - Verol H. Blades, 68, died Saturday, July 31, 1999, at 
Guymon.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Church of the Nazarene with the 
Rev. David A. Hoffman, pastor and the Rev. Charles Terpenning of Cimarron, 
N.M., officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Blades was born in Guymon and was raised southeast of Hardesty, where 
he attended school.

He worked for 10 years as a lineman and superintendent for Tri-County 
Electric Cooperative, 20 years for Kansas-Nebraska Oil and Gas and 10 
years for Enron Oil Trading.

He married Dessie Brewer in 1950 at Perryton, Texas. He was preceded in 
death by a son, Norman.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Darrell Blades of Canyon, Texas; a 
daughter, Verlena Furr of Yarbrough; a brother, Vernon Blades of Meridian, 
Idaho; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Hartville Cemetery c/o Roberts 
Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
