"Jake" Bollinger, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Christian Church at Hooker, Okla., with Eddie Scoggins officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery at Hooker by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker. Mr. Bollinger was born in Tyrone, Okla. He attended school in Tyrone and graduated in 1946 from Hooker High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He married Faye Peters in 1948. They lived in Hooker and Ulysses, Kan., where he began a Chevy dealership in 1958. They moved to Ulysses in 1959 and in 1969 to Colorado. He had lived in Colorado Springs for 27 years. He attended the Christian Church and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Lions Club. He sang with a Barbershop Quartet in Hooker. Survivors include two sons, Chuck Bollinger of Duncanville and Melvin Bollinger of Dodge City, Kan.; a daughter, Cindy Hennigh of Ulysses; and eight grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity.
