Mary Marie Brune

OPTIMA, Okla. - Mary Marie Brune, 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 
in Guymon with Mark Wescoatt, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in 
Elmhurst Cemetery at Guymon by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.

Mrs. Brune was born in Guymon and raised on the family farm north of 
Guymon. She was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in 
Guymon. She cooked at the Guymon Sale Barn for more than 20 years.

She married Ernest John Brune in 1939 at St. John's Lutheran Church in 
Hooker. He died in 1978. She also was preceded in death by a son, Darrel 
Brune, in March.

Survivors include two daughters, Myrtle Costner of Guymon and Karen 
Stewart of Optima; a son, Ervin Brune of Guymon; her mother, Edna Behne of 
Guymon; two sisters, Dorothy Farrington of Guymon and Dora Sales of 
Kingsland, Texas; three brothers, Albert Behne of Hooker, and Robert 
"Bob'' Behne and Jim Behne, both of Guymon; five grandchildren; and three 
great-granddaughters.

A Mary Brune Memorial has been established for Trinity Evangelical 
Lutheran Church or Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. Memorials will be accepted at 
Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, Okla. 73942.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 
Friday morning.
