Nobuko Syoji Burns

HOOKER, Okla. - Nobuko Syoji Burns, 69, died Monday, Oct. 29, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Hooker Cemetery with Jim 
Dooley officiating. Arrangements are by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burns was born in Sendai City, Japan. She graduated from high school 
in Japan.

In 1956, at the American Consulate in Tokyo, Japan, she married Robert Lee 
Burns Jr. They moved to the United States in 1957 and settled in Kinsley, 
Kan. They moved to other places with the military until 1973, when Mr. 
Burns retired, and they moved to Richland, Mo.

They moved to Hooker in 1977.

Survivors include her husband; and two brothers and a sister, all of 
Japan.
