Brown, 66, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church in Amarillo with the Rev. Charles Jones, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Brown was born in Melrose, N.M., and was a longtime resident of Guymon, Okla., and Muleshoe where he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a farmer and welder. Mr. Brown moved to Dumas 14 months ago. During the Korean War, he served in the Army. Survivors include a daughter, Frances R. Zion of Amarillo; two sons, Dan R. Brown of Lubbock and Robert V. Brown of Post; a stepdaughter, Robin Alexander of Dumas; three brothers, Charles Brown of Brownfield, Leo Brown of Amarillo and Joe Ed Brown of Houston; two sisters, Mabel Howard of Muleshoe and Ethal Mae Widner of Jacksboro; and eight grandchildren. The family will be at 4809 Rose Dr., in Amarillo. They suggest memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. Second, Dumas, TX 79029.
