All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 9 Sep 1997 Idelia Helen Cousins GUYMON, Okla. - Idelia "Dee" Helen Cousins, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 1997. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Liberal Cemetery at Liberal, Kan., with the Rev. Jim Jacobson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cousins was born in Dombey. She spent her early years in the TyroneBaker area. She then moved to Liberal. She married Ernest A. Cousins in 1934 at Liberal. They lived in Liberal until moving to Guymon in 1956. Mr. Cousins died in 1989. Mrs. Cousins was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active with the Presbyterian Women and the Thursday afternoon Bible study group. She was a longtime volunteer for the Memorial Hospital of Texas County auxiliary and the No Man's Land Information Center. Survivors include a son, Ernest E. Cousins of Sedona, Ariz.; and a grandson. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be to First Presbyterian Church.
