All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Mary Margaret Conklin GUYMON, Okla. - Mary Margaret Conklin, 89, a former Guymon resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, in Winter Haven, Fla. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Henson- Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Conklin was born in Larned, Kan. She moved to Texas County with her parents in 1916, settling on a farm five miles south of Guymon. She married Robert "Bob" W. Conklin in 1928 at Guymon. They lived in Texas for a short while before returning to Guymon, where they farmed until 1970. They then moved to Connecticut. Mr. Conklin died in 1975. After his death, she returned to Guymon, where she lived until 1985, when she moved to Winter Haven. Mrs. Conklin was a longtime member of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church and of Guymon Chapter No. 419 of the Order of Eastern Star, where she had been a member for more than 50 years. Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie Gonzalez of Winter Haven; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A Margaret Conklin Memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association. The family requests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers c/o Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O.
