Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Texhoma Pentecostal Church of God with Larry Brace, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery of Stratford, Texas, by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Davis was born Feb. 17, 1961, in Independence, Kan., to Delbert Edward and Beverly Ann Hawk Davis. He moved to Texhoma in February 1998 from Dalhart. He married Sally Kristen Counsil in Miami on Oct. 19, 1987. He was the owner of Danny Davis' Concrete Construction Co. and was a member of Texhoma Pentecostal Church of God. He was an EMT with Texhoma Ambulance and a volunteer with Texhoma Fire Department. Pallbearers include D.J. Davis, Dusty Davis, Ricky Davis, Robin Davis, David Davis, Randy Davis, Chip Crigger and Chad Crigger. Honorary pallbearers include Joe Counsil, Butch Counsil, Edd Richesin, Jamie Payne and Roger Prater. Survivors include his wife; six children, Tricia Hearne of Princeton, N.J., Sharie Davis and Danny "DJ" Davis, both of Lawton, Dustin Davis, Stephanie Davis and Sheena Williams, all of Texhoma; his parents, Delbert and Beverly Davis of Stratford; four brothers, Randy Godsey and David Davis, both of Stratford, Ricky Davis of Dalhart, Texas, and Robin Davis of Pueblo, Colo.; two sisters, Cheryl Prater of Dalhart and Debbie Richesin of Booker, Texas; two grandchildren, Michael Davis and Elizabeth Payne, both of Lawton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family suggests memorials be to the Davis Family for help with expenses in care of Dawson-Welch Funeral Home, 715 W. Main - P.O. Box 445, Texhoma, OK 73949.
