Georgianna Dixon

GUYMON, Okla. - Georgianna Dixon, 68, of Houston, Texas, a former Guymon 
resident, died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Henson-Novak Funeral Directors Chapel 

with the Rev. Mike Chaffin, pastor of Victory Memorial United Methodist 
Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Additional 
services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church 
in Houston with Dr. Gary Bowker officiating.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Hutchinson, Kan. Her family lived in Oklahoma City 
for many years before moving to Guymon in 1946. She graduated from Guymon 
High School in 1947.


She married Richard C. Dixon in 1950 at Guymon. They made their home in 
Liberal, Kan., for many years. They had lived in Houston for the past 27 
years.

Mrs. Dixon was a member of Chapter FA of the PEO in Liberal. She also was 
a member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Richard Phillip Dixon, Daniel 
Kent Dixon and James Douglas Dixon, all of Houston; two sisters, Jane Lee 
Hensley of Fort Collins, Colo., Eleanore Faris of Guymon; her stepmother, 
Mildred Sweet of Aurora, Colo.; and six grandchildren.

The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be to a favorite charity.
