Phillip P. DeWolfe, age 57, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Veterans Regional Hospital in Oklahoma City after a long period of failing health. He was born August 25, 1946 in Liberal, Kansas and grew up in Guymon, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Guymon High School, had a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Panhandle State University and a M.Ed in Secondary School Administration from Central State University. He served in the US Navy and theUS Coast Guard. He worked as an electrical and mechanical engineer and taught in both high school and college. He worked for Hughes Aircraft as a member of the Technical Staff and as senior software engineer for Teledyne Brown Engineering and retired from Dynamics Research Corp. in 2001. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife Peggy of the home in Yukon, three sons Kent DeWolfe of North Dallas, TX, Brent DeWolfe of Huntsville, TX, Robert DeWolfe of the US Navy in California, one step son Brock Loveless of Yukon. Also by one brother Don DeWolfe of Broken Arrow, OK and one sister Candy Loban of Colorado Springs, CO. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Pets and People P.O. Box 850587, Yukon, OK 73085. Graveside rites with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2004 at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
