All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Roy Edward Gooch GUYMON, Okla. - Roy Edward Gooch, 83, died Friday, August 13, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Horace Tyson of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Gooch was born near Guthrie and attended school at Deer Creek, graduating in 1936. He moved to Guymon in 1948 and retired as a plant operator for Phillips Petroleum in 1978. He was a charter member of the Texas County Sheriff's Posse and a member of International Order of Oddfellows, Panhandle Sam's Camping Club, and Sunset Lane Baptist Church. He married Clessie Elizabeth "Marie" Tilley in 1939 at Hominy. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Gooch of Guymon; a daughter, Judy Arnn of Broken Arrow; two brothers, Corrbett Gooch Jr. of Kansas and Loyd Gooch of Borger, Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society and may be mailed to Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
