All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Reidie Gum GUYMON, Okla. - Reidie Ferguson Gum, 92, of Hardesty, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, in Guymon. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Apostolic Faith Church in Hardesty with the Rev. Ron Brenning, pastor, and the Rev. Horace Tyson, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Gum was born in Blair and moved in a covered wagon to the Banner community where she attended school. She married Roy Franklin Gum in 1925 in Optima. She and her husband were involved with farming and cattle. He preceded her in death in 1966. She was a member of the Range Community Church, which later merged with the Apostolic Faith Church, and also was a member of the Range Missionary Club. Survivors include a daughter, Martha Gibson of Hardesty; a son, Robert Gum of Gainesville, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Reidie Gum Memorial Fund, established for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and Affiliates, c/o Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
