All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Elmhurst Cemetery--Guymon OK Carl Franklin Grove GUYMON, Okla. - Carl Franklin Grove, 94, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Odie Nunley and the Rev. Scott Adams officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Grove was born and raised near Hardesty. In 1956, he moved to Virginia, where he farmed tobacco for eight years. In 1964, he returned to Guymon and continued farming. For 16 years, he worked for the Cabot Carbon Black Plant. Mr. Grove also was employed as a custodian for the Guymon school system in the Salyer and Carrier schools. He retired in the late 1970s. He was active with the No Man's Land Senior Citizens. He married Matilda Louise Mussman in 1923. She died in 1952. His second marriage was in 1953 to Beatrice Earle Meade who died in 1986. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Loyal and Raymond Grove. Survivors include a son, Leonard Grove of Guymon; two stepdaughters, Kathy Hill and Debbie Rickers, both of Santana, Kan.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several greatgreat-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to No Man's Land Senior Citizens Center which will be accepted at the funeral home. The family will greet friends at the home of Leonard and Tex Grove.
