All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::?-Rockford IL Ruth Elizabeth Graves HOOKER, Okla. - Ruth Elizabeth Graves, 86, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the First Church of the Nazarene with Dr. David A. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Rockford, Ill., by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Graves was born in Detroit and was raised in Eldon, Mo., where she attended school. She received a degree in bookkeeping at Peoria, Ill. In the early 1950s, she moved to Rockford and lived there until 1988, when she moved to Hooker. She worked for the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center in Rockford as an office manager and bookkeeper for 15 years, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Graves was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and volunteered with the Texas County Reassurance Program. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Leota Pankey and Madelyn Lindig. Survivors include three sons, Clarence R. Pankey of Rockford, Paul Pankey of Hooker and Walter Pankey of LeRoy, Kan.; two stepdaughters, Rosalyn Glavin of Rosehill, Mich., and Roxann Bushree of Ramona, Calif.; a brother, Earl Bellin of Pacifica, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Hooker Ambulance Association c/o Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
