Jan Burton Haight

TYRONE, Okla. - Jan Burton Haight, 45, died Friday, Aug. 29, 1997 in 
Liberal, Kan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in United Methodist Church with the Rev. 

Greg Keith, pastor of Goodwell United Methodist Church, officiating. 
Burial will be in the Liberal City Cemetery at Liberal by Roberts Brothers 
Funeral Home of Hooker.
Mr. Haight was born in Liberal and had been a lifelong resident of Tyrone. 
He graduated from Tyrone High School in 1970 and attended Oklahoma 
Panhandle State University at Goodwell for two years.

He married Debra Knop in 1972 at Hooker. He worked in farming and ranching 
and also was a dispatcher for the Seaboard Corp. He was an active member 
of Tyrone United Methodist Church and had served as the Sunday school 
superintendent for several years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jared Haight of the home; a daughter, 
Brandee Haight of the home; his mother, LoRee Hall of Tyrone; a brother, 
Corky Haight of Gruver, Texas; and two sisters, Charlene Fast of Yukon and 
Jackie Smith of Tulsa.

A memorial has been established in Mr. Haight's name at Bank of the 
Panhandle in Guymon. Memorials also will be accepted at Roberts Brothers 
Funeral Home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, Okla. 73945.
