Bertha Orletha Hale

GUYMON, Okla. - Bertha Orletha Hale, 82, of Shattuck, died Wednesday, June 
23, 1999.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Henson-Novak Funeral Home Chapel 
in Guymon. Burial will be in Goodwell Cemetery.

Mrs. Hale was born in Goodwell and attended Hardesty schools. With her 
family, she lived in Guymon and Goodwell where she was a telephone 
operator for 10 years. She also worked in the cafeteria at Panhandle State 
University and was a member of First Christian Church of Guymon.

She married Robert L. Hale in 1934 at Guymon. He died in 1984. She also 
was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Keenan.

Survivors include three sons, David Hale of Cordell, Aaron Hale of 
Columbia, S.C., and Bruce Hale of Hugoton, Kan.; a sister, Mona B. 
Driscoll of Spearman, Texas; and six grandchildren.

A Bertha Hale Memorial has been established for the American Cancer 
Society. Memorials will be accepted at HensonNovak Funeral Home, Box 1306, 
Guymon, OK 73942.
