Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Texhoma United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dane Lemmons officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma, Texas, Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Hollis was born in Boise City. He attended Texhoma schools and graduated from Texhoma High School. He married Alice Gens in 1944 at Texhoma. Mr. Hollis was a farmer and rancher until the past five years, when he was employed by the McGarraugh Lease Operations as a contract pumper. He was a member of United Methodist Church and the Scottish Rite. He was a past Worshipful Master of Texhoma Masonic No. 382 AF&AM and a past Worthy Patron of the Texhoma Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Loretta Vick of Perryton, Texas; a son, Melvin Hollis of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Louise Wyatt of Wimberly, Texas, and DeEtta Phipps of Henrietta, Texas; and five grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Texhoma United Methodist Church cancer fund or Ochiltree General Hospital Hospice of Perryton.
