Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with Mike Hughes, of First Christian Church in Texhoma, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mr. Hickam was born in Maxwell, N.M., to H.B. and Helen Hickam. He graduated from high school in Springer, N.M. He attended Highland University in Las Vegas, N.M. Mr. Hickam married Patsy Clark in Amarillo on Dec. 12, 1981. He formerly owned and managed Texhoma Livestock Auction. He was a cattleman and race horse enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Di Ann Givens Skipworth of Amarillo, Kala Morrow of Barstow, Calif., and Lisa Stuart of Maquoketa, Iowa; a sister, Rosa Mae Harper of Madera, Calif.; three brothers, Raymond Hickam of Albuquerque, N.M., John Hickam of Los Lunas, N.M., and Al Hickam of Tijeras, N.M.; five grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Tarah Givens of Amarillo; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, June 30, 2002
