Robert J. Jacobs

HOOKER, Okla. - Robert J. "Bob" Jacobs, 70, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. todayin Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 
Hooker. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
with Scott Adams officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery by Roberts 
Bros. Funeral Home of Hooker.

Mr. Jacobs was born in Hodgeman County near Jetmore, Kan. He graduated 
from Hoisington High School in 1946. He moved from Hooker to Lakin, Kan., 
in 1961. He retired from K-N Energy as field foreman after 38 years of 
service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the 
American Legion and the Straight Rod and Reel Club.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Anthony Jacobs.

He married Elsie Marie in 1955.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vickie Jacobs of Hooker; two sons, 
Kenny Jacobs and David Jacobs, both of Hooker; a brother, Al Jacobs of 
Laverne, Okla.; two sisters, Lorraine Morgan of Scott City, Kan. and Doris 
Schreibvogel of Satanta, Kan.; three stepbrothers, Terry, Jim and Doug 
Ochs; a stepsister, Becky Brewer; seven grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the 
Hooker Fire Department or the Hooker Ambulance Fund. Memorials will be 
accepted at the funeral home, P.O. Box 745, Hooker, Okla. 73945.
