All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 11 Aug 1997 Mary Knorpp Mary Knorpp, 89, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Groom Church of Christ with Don Stone, pastor of the Church of Christ in White Deer, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Knorpp was born in Range, Okla., to a pioneer family. Her parents were among the first settlers of the Boydston area. She was a former resident of Groom and had lived in Amarillo three years. Mrs. Knorpp was a homemaker and a member of Groom Church of Christ for many years. She married Allen Knorpp in 1926. He died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Jean Craig, and a son, Lawrence Allen Knorpp. Survivors include a brother, Henry Merrick of Groom; a sister, Ivy Clark of Groom; four grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. The family requests memorials be to the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer or a children's home.
