::Hooker Cemetery--Hooker OK

Evelyn Loughridge

HOOKER, Okla. - Evelyn Loughridge, 80, died Sunday, May 2, 1999. 
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Christian Church with 
the Rev. Irvin Stanke officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery 
by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Loughridge was born and raised 
in Alden, Kan., until she moved to Lyons, Kan., in 1929. She 
graduated from Lyons High School in 1937. In 1953, she moved to 
Hooker where she worked for 35 years as a sales clerk for Hooker 
Hardware. Mrs. Loughridge was a member of First Christian Church, the 
Hooker Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center, Hooker Senior Citizens 
and was past grand noble of Hooker Rebekah Lodge. She married Leroy 
"L.A." Loughridge in 1938. He died in 1992. Survivors include three 
sons, Larry Loughridge of San Diego, Richard Loughridge of Guymon and 
Al Loughridge of Hooker; a daughter, Donna Logan of Guymon; two 
brothers, Weston Seybert of Nipoma, Calif., and Wayne Seybert of 
Longmont, Colo.; five sisters, Anna Layman of Hutchinson, Kan., Helen 
Gregory of Fredrick, Kan., Ada Maxwell of Lyons, Vilma Jean Smith of 
Oxnard, Calif., and Alice Allison of Versailles, Ohio; 12 
grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. The family suggests 
memorials be to First Christian Church in Hooker and may be left at 
Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945. Elsewhere
