Blanche Long

Blanche Long, 96, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Groom Cemetery at Groom with 
Greg Waggoner of Bible Baptist Temple officiating. Arrangements are by 
Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mrs. Long was born in Lynn, Ark. She moved to Amarillo in 1948 from Groom. 
She was an LVN and a member of Bible Baptist Temple.

She married Webster James Long in 1924 at Goodwell, Okla. He died in 1945.

Survivors include a son, Vernon L. Long of Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, 
Vernice Dillon and Juanita Hoyt, both of Amarillo; 19 grandchildren; 20 
greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice or Bible Baptist 
Temple.
