Elmer Jay "Doc Silsbee" Mattocks

GUYMON, Okla. - Elmer Jay "Doc Silsbee" Mattocks, 102, died Monday, March 
22, 2004, in Spearman, Texas.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Directors Chapel 
with Derek Cox officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon.

Mr. Mattocks was engaged in farming and raising livestock in the Hardesty 
area all his life. He moved to Guymon from Hardesty in 1986.

Survivors include two nieces, Alyne Holland of Douglasville, Ga., and 
Irene Bauer of Guymon; and a nephew, Bob Burgess of Goodwell.

The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice and may be sent to 
the funeral home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
