Mans GUYMON, Okla. - Joe I. Mans, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday in Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in St. Peter's Catholic Church by the Rev. Scott Adams. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Mans was born in Andale, Kan., and had been an Oklahoma Panhandle area resident since 1928. He married Eleanor C. Renner in 1929 at Conway Springs, Kan. They moved to Guymon from Texhoma in 1945. She died in 1989. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Neises. Mr. Mans was involved in farming most of his life. He retired in 1972. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include two sons, Fred Mans of Amarillo and Jim Mans of Indianapolis; two daughters, Alice Watkins of Guymon and Beth Longbrake of Cushing; a sister, Caroline Aday of Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, Matt Mans of Andale; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Texas County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/texas/texas.html
