All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Letitia Cemetery--Letitia OK Lawton Constitution 21 Nov 2003 Esther Elaine Kennedy Munson Funeral for Esther Elaine Kennedy Munson, 90, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church with the Rev. William F. Todd, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Munson died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at a local care center. Burial will be at Letitia Cemetery under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She was born April 29, 1913, in Boise City to Walter and Laura Kennedy. She married Bill Munson on June 10, 1938, in Guymon. She was a schoolteacher in Oklahoma and retired from Lawton Public Schools in 1975. She was past president and a 50-year member of Chapter BY of the P.E.O. sisterhood. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Builders Class at Centenary United Methodist Church. She was also a member of United Methodist Women, Church Women United and the Comanche County Retired Educators Association. Survivors include a sister, Joyce Ione Griggs, Hutchinson, Kan.; two sons: Thomas W. Munson, Lawton; and Alan K. Munson, Clifton, Va.; seven grandchildren: Kathy Munson Dorman and Mark L. Watts, both of Lawton; Kristi Munson LaClear, Florissant, Mo.; Michelle Watts Stevenson, Edmond; and Kennedy, Griffin and Bailey Munson, both of Clifton; 11 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Merrill Kennedy; her daughter, Linda Joyce Watts; and her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, P.O.
