All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Elmhurst Cemetery--Guymon OK Ramona Sanchez Montano GUYMON, Okla. - Ramona Sanchez Montano, 82, of Las Animas, Colo., and formerly of Guymon, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by BunchRoberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Montano was born in Los Ojitos Frios, N.M. She was employed by Highlands University in Las Vegas, N.M., and retired in 1975. In 1976, Mrs. Montano moved from Las Vegas to Guymon. In 1998, she moved to Las Animas. While in Guymon, she was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, Cursillo and she served as Eucharist minister and was a lector. She married Atanacio Montano in 1938 at Los Ojitos Frios. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Anthony Sanchez and Raymond Montano. Survivors include six daughters, Corrine Westenhaver of Guymon, Fabiola Cluck of Las Animas, Colo., Mary Ann Ruiz of Maui, Hawaii, Jean Hemphill of Littleton, Colo., Florinda Reed of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Mabel Garcia of Guymon; two sons, Manuel Montano of Las Vegas, and Leroy Montano of Guymon; a stepdaughter, Francis Baca of Guymon; 40 grandchildren; and 42 greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to St Peter's Catholic Church. Memorials will be accepted at the church office or Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Okla., 73942.
