Morgan, Calvin B. 

Calvin B. Morgan, 73, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 18, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Central Church of Christ with Tom 
Monroe and Dick Marchear officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by 
Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mr. Morgan was born in Gray, Okla. He moved to Amarillo in 1955 from 
Tyrone, Okla. He was a veteran of the Army. He retired in 1987 as a 
teacher with the Amarillo Independent School District. He was a member of 
Central Church of Christ and the church's Sojourner Mission.

He married Loretta James in 1948 at South Flat, Okla. He was preceded in 
death by a grandson in 1992.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Machelle Sumner and Renee 
Morgan, both of Amarillo; a brother, Clayton Morgan of Oklahoma City; two 
sisters, Vada Lile of Booker and Retha Sargent of McCloud, Okla.; and two 
grandchildren.

The family request memorials be to Central Church of Christ "Sojourner" 
Mission, 5554 Cooks Rd., Marshall, Texas, 75670; or Olivia's Angels; or 
Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
