Martin GUYMON, Okla. - Eva M. Martin, 77, of Grand Junction, Colo., died Wednesday, March 19, 1997. Family committal will be Sunday morning in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mrs. Martin was born in Dalhart, Texas. She grew up in towns between Liberal, Kan., and Santa Rosa, N.M. She attended school in Boise City, Dalhart and Liberal. She married J. Glen Martin in 1938 at Springfield, Colo. His occupation took them to Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Wyoming and Utah. In the early 1950s they moved to Cortez, Colo., and then to Grand Junction. In the 1960s they worked in the jungles of Suriname and Ecuador, South America. They returned to Georgia and Texas before retiring in Grand Junction in 1977. Mrs. Martin was a charter member of the Rainbow Girls at Boise City and a 50year member of the Order of the Easter Star No. 103 in Grand Junction. She attended continuing education classes at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth and at Mesa College in Grand Junction. She owned and operated the Paris Shoppe in Grand Junction. She also had worked at Helenes'. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Kay Martin. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steve Martin of Aztec, N.M., and Chris Martin of Arlington, Texas; and three grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to a hospice. Memorials will be accepted at Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O.
