Harris passed away January 21, 2007 of a heart attack at the Rogue Valley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Phoenix, Ore. A graveside service will immediately follow the funeral at Phoenix Cemetery, Phoenix, Ore. Naveta was born Naveta Darline Lubbers May 26, 1923 in Tyrone, Okla. to John D. and Mildred Simmonds Lubbers. The family moved from Clayton, N.M. to the Rogue Valley in 1937. On April 16th, 1941, in Medford, Naveta married J. Allen Harris, who survives. They have lived in Phoenix, Ore. for over 50 years. She graduated from Medford High School in 1941. She worked at Faber's Transfer and Storage as a bookkeeper for over 20 years and packed pears at Associated Fruit Co. for 30 years. Naveta was a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed baking and flowers. Survivors in addition to her husband of over 65 years include four children and their spouses. Nedra (Monty) Facey, Butte Falls, Ore., Curtis (Violet) Harris of Riverside, Calif., Allene (Ed) Kehoe of Eagle Point, Ore. and Kenneth (Shelly) Harris of Klamath Falls, Ore. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother, Dorine Thompson, Veona Sheppard, Sherrill Lubbers, Wilma Williams and Verle Dean Lubbers. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Lubbers; two brothers, Duane and J.D. Lubbers; two sisters, Ruby Marney and Leota Woods; and one grandson, Trent Harris. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Southern Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Center, 228 N. Holly St., Medford, OR 97501. Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives.
