Nicholson, 73, died Tuesday, July 9, 2002. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Dumas with Michael Nixon and Ronnie Bollinger officiating. Burial will be 4 p.m. in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Okla., by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Nicholson was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Holly, Colo. He married Jo Ann White on Sept. 19, 1957, in Amarillo. He had lived in Dumas for more than 50 years and worked for Phillips Petroleum for 40 years as a field operator. He enjoyed western art and painted excellent portraits and horses, and was very talented at woodworking and building furniture. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Glenda Bollinger of Dumas; a son, Tony Nicholson of Dumas; two sisters, Gwen Lechenby of Vici, Okla., and Ardell Gann of Woodward, Okla.; a brother, Wendell Nicholson of Arlington; and six grandchildren, Tony, Jack, Cody, Timothy, Tera and Amber. The family suggests memorials be to The Worldwide Preaching Work in care of Dumas Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6010 Meat Market Road, Dumas, TX 79029.
